Apple has already broken iPhones through a recycle robot, and in future, such a robot must recycle all Apple products.

Ten years ago, Apple was still on top of Greenpeace, but in 2007 Steve Jobs set a course for a greener Apple. According to Greenpeace, Apple has now been eliminated as the greenest company in the world, with little use of fossil energy and high priority for recycling.

That recycling is now taking place with Liam recycling robot. The 29-arm robot removes iPhones razor-sharp particle particle so that everything can be reused. In an Apple factory in Breda there is such a Liam robot, but when it comes to Apple, such robots become even more advanced.

The Patently Apple site found an Apple patent description of a Liam successor. According to the patent, the robot aims to break more than just iPhones. Apple may also make iPads and MacBooks recycle faster and more efficiently in the future.

The patent also speaks of Liam-like robots in Apple Stores. They can determine locally whether devices can be repaired, and they can disassemble on-the-spot. But the complicated replacement of a battery could now be done by the robot in the store.
