Apple’s latest and greatest update for your iPhone—iOS 13—arrives on Thursday, September 19. Don’t bother waking up early in the morning to see if Santa Tim has given you a major device update as a present, however; you’re going to have to wait a little bit until both operating systems launch for real.
While Apple hasn’t published an official launch time for iOS 13, odds are good that the company will follow the same convention as previous updates. That means the update should go live right around 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET).
And while we’ve only mentioned iOS 13 so far, you’ll also be able to grab watchOS 6 (for the Series 3 Apple Watch or newer) that day. The big iPadOS 13 and tvOS 13 updates will arrive on September 30, so you have a little extra time before you have to worry about them.
As always, you can start checking out iOS 13 and watchOS 6 right now by downloading and installing a beta profile from the similarly named website. While you might have to deal with some bugs, depending on what version of the beta you get, you’ll be able to check out the latest and greatest changes before regular iPhone and Apple Watch owners.
