According to the Korea Economic Times reported that Apple is working with LG's materials and components company LG Innotek cooperation, research and development to support the new dual-camera 3D camera module, and may be used in the second half of next year's launch of the new iPhone.
Informed sources said: "Apple is studying how its own 3D camera technology used in LG Innotek's smart phone camera module. As LG Innotek also has its own 3D camera and related technologies, the cooperation between the two sides is likely to be fruitful next year. & Rdquo;
Apple in 2015 to 20 million US dollars acquisition of Israeli start-up company LinX, access to the latter's 3D camera technology. Created in 2011, LinX's technology divides digital imagery into three stages, adding depth to photos. But in order to achieve 3D photography, mobile phones also need to add dual camera technology.
LG Innotek is currently the iPhone 7 Plus dual camera module suppliers.
